FAQ
MANUFACTURING
All clothing and jewelry is made in very small batches in Victoria, Canada. Currently, Korinne designs and pattern-drafts all the clothing. A great focus is upon making the most out of the fabric and reducing waste. No fabric scraps have been thrown away since 2017 and the NADA project began. (Nada is Korinne’s middle name, after her grandmother) Fabric scraps saved for patchwork dreams.
All clay work is made by Korinne and fired in a small electric setter kiln at home.
GARMENT/JEWELRY CARE
All garments have care instruction labels sewn into them. Most items are to be hand washed in cold water and hang to dry.
All jewelry is a mixture of clay and fibre. To ensure a long life, handle with care and keep away from water. Please be aware that the jewelry is ceramic or porcelain and will chip, crack or break if dropped or bumped. Earring posts are surgical steel and attached with two part epoxy for ceramic and metal. I take great care in sanding, cleaning, glueing and allowing the earrings to dry fully to ensure the posts are securely attached. There is no guarantee, replacement or fixing on all ceramic and porcelain jewelry. If there is breakage or the earring post comes away from the earring, use a two part epoxy for metal and ceramic to secure again. Korinne Vader Handmade Goods is not responsible for jewelry after it is purchased and in the hands of the customer.
