John and I have a small lot that when I moved in, I gardened the backyard. I soon learned that the front yard gets all the sun so I slowly took over the front yard too. And added raised beds so deer cant eat my peas, strawberries and carrot tops. It’s a little wild, no grass with blueberry plants, sweet peas, dahlias and zinnias amongst tomatoes, beans and ground cherries. I’m constantly rotating plants and choosing to grow items we love. For the last couple years, I dry as much as possible and experiment with uses. I am sensitive to scents, allergic to linalool (which is added/ occurs naturally in most commercial skincare products) and even essential oils can bother me, but I love nice soap. It’s a small luxury that I have splurged on for many years. And have dreamed, read and prepared to make soap for a few years, and I finally did it. It’s made with good quality oils, mostly organic that will leave your skin soft.

Lavender is organically grown in my garden, handpicked & hung to dry. Then infused into oil to give a scent but it’s not overpowering. The oatmeal gives a light exfoliation along with the softness of the rich soap. It is made with olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, caster oil, lavender infused oil and oatmeal.

I knew I wanted to make soap when I planted the seeds for Clary Sage. It’s a strong smelling plant that shoots up stalks of beautiful short lasting purple flowers. I’ve read that it has many health benefits. The soap is made with olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, caster oil, clary sage infused oil and dried clary sage.

Calendula is another flower that I absolutely love having in the garden and I’m constantly picking them. It’s gentle and has skin soothing properties. The soap is made with olive oil, coconut oil, sunflower oil, shea butter, caster oil, calendula infused oil and dried calendula.

All soap is cold processed and cured for 5-8 weeks. The longer you wait the more water will evaporate and therefore the soap will be longer lasting. Soap is wrapped in paper printed with photos of flowers from my garden.
